Mar Menor (cycle or drive) - This famous inland sea covers over a 100 square miles with nearly 40 miles of coastline, the high salinity of the warm shallow water makes it a magnet for watersports enthusiasts and bathers. It has been called the largest swimming pool in the world.

Torrevieja, La Zenia & Cabo Roig (drive or Taxi) - Torrevieja is a large bustling coastal town with a population of over 100'000 offering the visitor everything from local markets to hypermarkets, it's also home to Aquapolis, the largest water park on the Costa Blanca. The smaller resorts of La Zenia & Cabo Roig are closer to the Villa and approx 4 miles away.

Golf (drive) - A good selection of courses are within an easy drive of Torre de la Horadada including Villamartin, Las Ramblas Real De Golf Campoamar & La Marquesa. La Manga Club is about one hours drive from the Villa

Lo Pagan (cycle or drive) Just inside the Mar Menor and on the edge of the salt marsh national park is an area rich in a dark mineral mud which bathers cover themselves form head to toe. According to local tradition, the mud has both cosmetic and medicinal properties.

San Pedro Salt Marsh Nature Reserve (cycle or drive) - Here you will see flocks of flamingos, desolate sand dunes, huge reed beds and the ancient practice of Salt Harvesting. This conservation area is also home to plovers, herons, barn owls, gulls, harriers and avocets.
